Project Description:

The University of Maryland is collaborating with Conservation International to generate spatial priority setting for environmental conservation objectives that will benefit local human wellbeing. This research is of value to Conservation International because these hotspts can contribute to the organization's ongoing efforts in the area of Mapping where conservation can support Food Security.

Matt Cooper's Ph.D. research involves combining geolocated data on child malnutrition and hood security with satellite-derived metrics on environmental quality, climate shocks, and land cover types.
