Marc Steininger

Dr. Steininger is an Associate Research Professor with 20 years of experience in geography, ecology and remote sensing research and applications. His areas of research include forest monitoring, secondary forest regrowth and fallows, biomass dynamics and carbon emissions, biodiversity impacts of land-cover change, methods for Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) of Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD+) and climate driven forest flammability and fire risk.

Chima Okpa

Chima is a Faculty Specialist currently using remote sensing data and GIS for land cover characterization of the US in conjunction with FAO global land cover initiative.

Chima received his BS degree in Geographic Information Systems at the University of Maryland, College Park. He intends to continue his education through the MPS GIS program at the University of Maryland. 

Li Wang

Li Wang is form China and working for the Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research is focused on the regional agricultural mapping, forestry, land cover change and carbon cycles.

Anil Kommareddy

Has more than 15 years experience in software development and architect level hardware design and deployment.   Has extensive experience in development of various scientific applications in GIS and Engineering.  Has extensive programming experience in C for application development.

Indrani Kommareddy

Software Engineer worked on developing variety of GIS applications. Has knowledge in integrating various Open Source technologies to cater the needs of the users. Has 9+ years of experience specializing in web development and standalone applications with extensive experience in implementing full software life cycle process including requirement analysis, design, prototyping, interface implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.

Belinda Margono

Belinda holds her Bachelor degree in Forestry from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia; she earned her Master of Science degree in Land Resource and Urban Science, Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), The University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands. Her thesis was the study of tropical deforestation using satellite radar data (JERS) and GIS techniques.
